Six out of Ten College Students Feel Lonely
I read a recent story in USA Today (http://college.usatoday.com/2016/01/30/mental-health-by-the-numbers/) about college mental health. I was shocked to see that six out of ten of college students feel lonely.
I remember college being the time of my life.
Then I thought about it and remembered that things weren’t always great. College kids are humans, after all. Making some of their first major life decisions and, at times, experiencing a lot of stress. It’s not always easy to open up to friends about the impacts of that stress; holding it in leads to even more stress. It’s a vicious cycle that can have tragic results. That’s why we’re proud to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Since 1987 AFSP has been working tirelessly to prevent suicide and help those impacted by it.
